Why these books exist

Children feel everything at full volume.

Jealousy on the playground. Fear on the school bus. Grief that does not yet have grown-up words. Joy that cannot sit still. Lorraine Schauer, LMSW, writes so little people can name those feelings without shame—and place every emotion in the light of Scripture.

As a licensed master social worker and a parent, she knows both the clinical language of emotional intelligence and the kitchen-table moments that change a child’s day. One of those moments became a book: a Bible verse tucked into her daughter’s lunchbox. Lunchbox Love Notes grew from that simple, stubborn kindness.

The series offers the same gentleness for anger, loneliness, pride, confusion, tiredness, first-day nerves, and loss—always pointing toward prayer, wisdom, and the character of God.

Helping children understand, express, and grow with God’s love.
01

Feelings are design, not defect

The books do not try to erase big feelings. They teach that emotions are part of being human—and that we can still respond in God-honoring ways.

02

Adults sit close

Look at the picture. Talk. Pray. Practice a verse. Caregivers are invited in, not lectured from the sidelines.

03

Scripture in the backpack

Memory cards, lunchbox notes, coloring verses, and journal prompts help children hide God’s Word in their hearts.
